mission
San Francisco, CA - The mission: To drive a 1971 BMW 2002 across the United States from San Francisco to Newark, New Jersey, ship the car to Germany to make the Bavaria 02 Tour in Oberammergau, Germany for the Year 2002 celebration. The drive will be in honor of a Uncle Saul, a family friend who was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
Goals - There are couple of goals that I would like to achieve. The first is to spread education and awareness about ALS and how it has effected Uncle Saul. Secondly to share with people how Uncle Saul has been a tremendous influence in my life. Third, to make it to Germany for the Bavaria 02 Tour that takes place from May 29 - June 2.
the route - The planned route is to follow Interstate 80 all the way across to Newark, New Jersey. I will be driving by myself and I want to stick to a major Interstate just in case something breaks and I need help! Once in Germany I will drive south on the Autobahn to Oberammergau. Oberammergau is a small town located near the Austrian boarder.

how you can help - I'm doing this trip completely independent of any organization. Unfortunately I am not independently wealthy and the cost of this journey is quite expensive. If you would like to donate to my efforts you can send money via Pay Pal to evan_chong@hotmail.com.
